John 8, created for Rev. Steve Cathcart and given to him by his
congregation in honor of his service. The bronze sculpture represents the
passage from John 8:1-11-- the story of the woman caught in adultery,
Jesus' response to her, and the crowd who wanted to stone her to death.
The sculpture consists of three arms, each representing part of the story
... the angry crowd with a man preparing to throw a rock, an indecisive
man asking himself if he is without sin, and a third man dropping the
stone. The base upon which the sculpture sits is inscribed with the words,
"He who is without sin cast the first stone."
